Senior Healthy Hikers: Troutdale, Glenn Otto Park, and Lewis and Clark Park Hike: Thu Dec 03, 2015 9AM-5PM

This is a 3.5-mile hike that starts at Lewis and Clark Park, where we will walk the park’s nature trail and see where ancient floods exposed a 160-foot-high volcanic cliff. Next we will drive over to Glenn Otto Park and hike its nature trails along the Sandy River. From Glenn Otto Park, we will take a short walk up to downtown Troutdale. We will stop at an Italian restaurant in Troutdale for lunch, and after lunch we will walk back to our cars. Bring along a snack and water. Hiking boots are recommended, because we will be walking on some nature trails, and they may be muddy.
- Round-trip travel: 10 miles
- Difficulty: Moderate
- Elevation gain: 200 feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $1

Middle school and high school youth in grades 6-12 can attend free basketball practice, skill building and game play on Friday nights at H.B. Lee Middle School, 1121 NE 172nd Ave.
- Open to boys and girls in grades 6-12
- Learn new skills, make new friends, play basketball.
- Adult supervision and mentorship provided by the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC).
- Sponsored by the City of Gresham.
Schedule:
- 6-8 p.m. for grades 6-8
- 8-10 p.m. for grades 9-12

The Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations was formed to provide structure and support for the leadership of Gresham's neighborhood associations, enabling more effective cooperation among neighborhood associations in order to achieve desired outcomes. Goals of the Coalition include providing a public forum for the review and evaluation of issues and problems, providing education and information on specific areas such as land use, and providing a unified voice for the neighborhood associations.
The Coalition meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00PM

If you've enjoyed the Zimmerman House during the day, you should see her at night!
Journey Back In Time
The historic Zimmerman House was built in 1874 and was home to three generations of the Zimmerman Family. Their furnishings and personal articles remain in this two-story Victorian home, including children’s toys, games, Christmas postcards, and winter clothing. This annual evening tour will be held on Tuesday, December 8th and December 10th from 2pm-7pm.
Please reserve the time you’d like to visit the house, and give yourself approximately 45 minutes to explore both floors of this heritage home.
Parking is extremely limited, so please consider carpooling.
Admission is free, but the suggested donation for this special event is $5 per person for ages 18 and older.
