We invite parents and children ages 3-5 to enjoy a short story and a guided nature hike. Watch birds fly overhead, search for hidden animal homes, and learn about local trees and flowers. The event runs rain or shine so pull on those boots and join us! There is a $3 suggested donation per child, no charge for adults. Meet us at the picnic structure. Come, Lend A Hand... Join Friends of Nadaka to restore a healthy habitat at Nadaka Nature Park. We will be removing invasive species such as English Ivy from the 10 acre forested portion of the park, watering plants, and removing litter. Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Dress to work in natural areas: long pants, brimmed hat, and closed-toe sturdy shoes. Please bring a water bottle and a friend! |

Come out and meet your neighbors and make new friends. Join SOLV® and Friends of Nadaka to help improve the park this Earth Day. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal, Mulching Trails, Trash Removal and possibly work in Community Garden. Be prepared to get a little dirty and to have fun by supporting and volunteering with Friends of Nadaka and Wilkes East Neighborhood Association. Refreshments will be provided for volunteers.

Get to know Nadaka Nature Park! This 10-acre forest in northwest Gresham was saved from development for many decades because it served as a day camp for the Camp Fire Organization. Today Nadaka is a city park that provides an island of native habitat and a place for the community to access and learn about nature. Learn the park’s story, restoration challenges and successes, how to identify common native plants and spot spring time invaders, and the top 10 scary weeds to watch out for.

We hope you'll join us at the second annual Gresham Green and Clean Day of Service. This year, our efforts will focus on restoring natural habitat at project sites throughout the City.
The City is sponsoring a large cleanup and restoration effort in the Grant Butte Wetlands area along the Gresham Fairview Trail. In addition, the City is partnering with the Johnson Creek Watershed Council as part of their annual Watershed Wide event on projects at:
- Chastain Creek (Watershed Wide Event)
1511 S.W. 10th Court in Gresham off S.W. 10th Court near Towel Ave. - Butler Creek (Watershed Wide Event)
Meet at the intersection of Binford Lake Parkway and S.W. Binford Ave. in Gresham - Springwater Woods (Watershed Wide Event)

A free pizza party and celebration will follow at Wall Street Pizza from noon to 2 p.m.
