- Adult supervision and mentorship provided by the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC).

Naturescaping reduces water use, stormwater runoff and utilizes native plants. The workshop introduces the core concepts of naturescaping and explores:
- Pollution prevention through the reduction/elimination of chemical use.
- How native plants naturally resist pests & tolerate drought conditions while attracting native birds, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators to your garden.
- Basic site planning principals, and many other great natural gardening & design tips.

Join Friends of Nadaka, St. Aidan's Church & Oregon Food Bank for our Seed to Supper Gardening Workshop Series starting February 15th! This is a FREE 6-week beginning gardening course that gives adult gardeners the tools they need to successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget.
Growing Veggies on a Budget. Learn low-cost ways to build healthy soil, plan your growing space, choose your crops, care for your growing garden, and harvest your bounty!

Seed to Supper is a free, six-week beginning gardening course that gives adult gardeners the tools they need to successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget. Participants will be given a free gardening book, seeds, plant starts, trowels, a certificate of completion and more.
This course is open to adults living on a low income ($1,945 per month or less).

A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

You are invited to ECHOs Farmhouse Valentine Tea and Antique Quilt Exhibit on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1:00 pm.
ECHOs annual fundraising tea supports the restoration and preservation of the 1874 Zimmerman House and 1893 Heslin House Museums.
This is the first year for the farmhouse theme and the menu will include scones with sweet cream, assorted savories, desserts, fresh fruit and hot tea. Vegan and gluten-free options are available upon request before Feb. 5.
This is also the first year ECHO will have some of the antique quilts from both the Heslin and Zimmerman House collections on exhibit. There will also be a raffle, giving you the opportunity to take home some special treats.
The adult tea is $25 and children under 10 years old are $12.50.
Reservations are required before Feb. 5 and can be secured by calling 503-618-0946 or by emailing info@echohistory.org. Reservations are limited, so dont delay.
The Farmhouse Valentine Tea will be held at the Quail Hollow Clubhouse, 21100 NE Sandy Blvd. in Fairview. Parking is free and we encourage you to carpool.
Feel free to wear your favorite hat and gloves.
