Middle school and high school youth can attend free basketball practice, skill building and game play on Friday nights at H.B. Lee Middle School, 1121 NE 172nd Ave.

• Open to boys and girls in grades 6-12
• Learn new skills, make new friends, play basketball.
• Adult supervision and mentorship provided by the Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC).
• Sponsored by the City of Gresham.

Get natural gardening & design tips that mimic nature, and make your garden a healthy place for children, pets and wildlife. Class covers native plants that thrive in the Pacific Northwest, and other core naturescaping concepts. Where possible, workshop includes a short tour of a nearby garden. This class is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Help Remove Invasive Ivy When: Sat Oct 29, 2016 9AM-12PM Where: Nadaka Nature Park & Gardens 175th & NE Glisan Gresham OR Get Map

Join Friends of Nadaka to restore a healthy habitat at Nadaka Nature Park Saturday, October 29th from 9 am to 12 pm! We will be removing invasive species such as English Ivy from the 10 acre forested portion of the park. The event will start with a brief lesson on native and invasive plant species.

Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Dress to work in natural areas: long pants and closed-toe sturdy shoes. Please bring a water bottle and a friend! There are two locations for parking:

• 1) St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church parking lot next to
  Nadaka Nature Park located at 17405 NE Glisan St Gresham, OR 97230
• 2) Nadaka Nature Park’s north entrance is at 176th & NE Pacific St

You may park in the neighborhood and follow the path through the forest to get to the picnic structure.

The 34th annual Teddy Bear parade returns to Gresham with fun for all ages in downtown Gresham. All participants and spectators are encouraged to bring their teddy bears in this celebration of children in our community.

Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Dress to work in natural areas: long pants and closed-toe sturdy shoes. Please bring a water bottle and a friend.

Activities include: invasive plant removal, litter cleanup, garden weeding/cleanup.

Register to volunteer at this event.

Meet at the picnic structure on the NE Glisan Street side of the park.
