John Dorst, Manager RE: 162nd Avenue NE Halsey to NE Glisan Dear Mr. Dorst & repair road crew: I am writing on behalf of the Wilkes East Neighborhood Association (WEna) and all of our members. We wish to thank you as well as congratulate you on a job well done on the replacement of the 162nd Avenue Curtis Duval our Land-Use Chair who is a retired Engineer with ODOT and also lives at 163rd and NE Holiday Street was pleased with the plan and execution done by your team of workers. Thank you for taking on a project, which was originally felt to be too expensive. Ultimately this will make our winter driving safer! Kris Freiermuth, President |

What: Wilkes East Neighborhood Association (WENA) meeting to discuss expansion of Nadaka Nature Park into 1.9 acres on south edge of Nadaka.

WENA and the Friends of Nadaka have successfully applied for a Metro Nature in Neighborhood capital grant, received a contribution from the East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District (EMSWCD) and worked with the Trust for Public Land (TPL) and the Nelson Estate to acquire this 1.9 acre parcel. The City of Gresham has not contributed money for this purchase but the property will be owned and maintained by the City of Gresham. This acquisition will become part of Nadaka.

Wilkes East Neighborhood borders are roughly NE Sandy Boulevard to the north, NE 181st Ave to the east, NE Glisan Street to the south, and NE 162nd Ave to the west.
