The Wilkes East Neighborhood Association (WENA) is a non-profit association of your neighbors who are interested in promoting the quality of life for the residents of our community. Our mission is to enhance the livability of our community through citizen participation. We strive to communicate, cooperate, and collaborate.
The Wilkes East Neighborhood is located in the Northwest corner of the City of Gresham, Oregon, and is one of Gresham Oregon's sixteen neighborhoods. Wilkes East Neighborhood's borders are roughly NE Sandy Boulevard to the north, NE 181st Ave to the east, NE Glisan Street to the south, and NE 162nd Ave to the west. Get map!.
Our neighborhood is the place where we live - the land we share in common. It is where we raise our families, our children attend school, take evening strolls to walk the dog, ride our bikes, and socialize with our friends. The Wilkes East Neighborhood consists of a collection of home owners, business owners and home renters. Our membership is diverse — it is made of young and old, students and workers. Our strength comes from being able to speak with an organized voice in the community.
Membership is free. You don't have to pay dues. You do not have to own a house. In fact, anyone who lives in the Wilkes East Neighborhood can get involved. Click here to join!
