The Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations was formed to provide structure and support for the leadership of Gresham's neighborhood associations, enabling more effective cooperation among neighborhood associations in order to achieve desired outcomes. Goals of the Coalition include providing a public forum for the review and evaluation of issues and problems, providing education and information on specific areas such as land use, and providing a unified voice for the neighborhood associations.
The Coalition meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00PM

A community forum to provide information and a facilitated discussion about the process for locating wireless communications on utility poles in the public right-of-way.
This project, which is on the Council Work Plan, involves revising the Community Development Code to eliminate the regulation of wireless communication facilities located in the public right-of-way and permit it as an outright allowed use subject to obtaining a permit to use the right-of-way.

Join us to provide your comments on draft Downtown Development Code changes.
Issues include floor area ratio (the minimum amount of building required on each lot), streets and sidewalks, minimum parking standards and building design standards.
The Downtown Plan Review project seeks to remove obstacles to Downtown development while retaining the vision of Downtown as: a center for jobs and housing; a thriving and unique entertainment, nightlife and shopping district; and a visually interesting place with buildings and streetscapes of high design quality.

Improving Efficiency
The Planning Commission will hold a work session on Monday Jan. 23 to review the discussion draft of code amendments. These amendments create a land use classification system, reconsider how community service uses are categorized and reviewed, and update the Staff Interpretation process.

Join us to discuss the preferred approaches to removing obstacles to Downtown development by changing the Development Code.
Issues to be explored include floor-area ratio (development intensity), parking and street design.
The Downtown Plan Review project seeks to remove obstacles to Downtown development while retaining the vision of Downtown as: a center for jobs and housing; a thriving and unique entertainment, nightlife and shopping district; and a visually interesting place with buildings and streetscapes of high design quality.
A document that describes the preferred approaches to addressing Downtown Development Code issues is available on the project website.
Residents, business owners, property owners and other interested parties are invited to attend and comment on the proposals.

Join us on Monday Nov 14 at 6:30PM when the Planning Commission considers approving proposed amendments to the Gresham Community Development Plan, Volume 1 - Findings and Volume 2 - Policies, that will adopt new and revised findings, goals, policies and action measures related to the Urban Forestry Management Plan.

The Planning Commission will hold itshearing Monday, Nov. 14, immediately following the Urban Forestry hearing regarding Development Code changes that would create an Institutional Master Plan process.
