Join the Celebration & Sing-A-Long!
The day after Thanksgiving, thousands of Portlanders will gather at the Square to celebrate the lighting of the spectacular 75ft Tree provided by Stimson Lumber Company. This beloved community tradition will feature a holiday sing-a-long with Thomas Lauderdale and members of Pink Martini, the NW Community Gospel Choir, The Pacific Youth Choir and friends! With a big tree, over 14,000 colorful lights and Portland’s largest community sing-a-long this is an event you won’t want to miss! See last year’s ceremony here! Tree Lighting, Songs & More When: Sat, Nov 26, 2016 5PM-6:30PM Where: Arts Plaza 401 NE Second Street Get Map!

The 25th Annual Spirit of Christmas tree lighting one of the communitys most popular events rings in Greshams holiday season with a family-friendly program that includes music, photos with Santa, refreshments and the lighting of the 60-foot Ponderosa pine on the Arts Plaza.

This free, jolly holiday event is on Saturday, Nov. 28, from 5:00 - 6:30 pm.

The Gresham Farmers Market takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday from May to October. Held in downtown Gresham at NW 3rd Street and NW Miller Avenue, the market offers shoppers fresh, local produce, meats, cheeses, flowers, crafts, great food and live music.

The Rockwood Farmers Market is a community-focused market featuring fresh produce from local farms in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Purchase local fruits and produce, jams and jellies, enjoy hot food vendors, music, a weekly activity for kids and more.

The outdoor market is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays next to the Plaza del Sol, SE 187th Avenue, between East Burnside and SE Stark Street. The market runs on Sundays until October 16.

WIC, SNAP and Farm Direct coupons are accepted.

Take the MAX: The market is conveniently located right off of the Rockwood/E 188th Ave MAX stop. There is parking available and the market is accessible for bikes as well.

The Market is a collaboration of Ecumenical Ministries of Oregons Interfaith Food & Farms Partnership and the Rockwood Co-op.

See the Night Sky When: Tue, Oct 04, 2016 6PM-8:15PM Where: MHCC Planetarium Sky Theater 26000 SE Stark Street Get Map!

Two shows: at 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm

Admission is only $5. MHCC students (with valid ID) and children 17 and under are $2.

All shows are presented under a realistic representation of the night sky, featuring the latest galactic, stellar and planetary images.

The Sky Theater is wheelchair-accessible.

Don't junk it, repair it. Bring your broken household items to be repaired for free by skilled volunteers.

The City and Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations sponsor a Gresham Repair Café three times a year.

Types of household items repaired:

• Broken bicycles, chains and tires
• Torn clothing, missing buttons and other fabric repairs
• Broken clocks, fans and small kitchen appliances
• Electronics (calculators, Gameboys, remote controls, desktop and laptop computers)
• Small furniture

Televisions, microwaves and small engines are not repairable at this event.
