Crisp Fall Adventure When: Thu Dec 04, 2014 9AM-5PM Where: Larch Mountain Meet at: Gresham City Hall 1333 NW Eastman Pwy Gresham, OR Get Map!

This is a 6.2-mile hike in old growth forest along Multnomah Creek, which is the headwaters of Multnomah Falls. We will hike around the crater in an old growth forest of Western Hemlock and Douglas Fir, some as old as 400 years.

• Round-trip travel: 50 miles
• Difficulty: Moderate/difficult
• Elevation gain: 1,200 feet
• Suggested donation per hiker: $6

Hiking boots and hiking poles are recommended. Footing may be a little slippery in places. Bring a lunch to eat at the picnic tables at the top, before we start our descent back to the cars.

Celebrate the Season When: Tue Dec 16, 2013 7-9PM Where: Zimmerman House 17111 NE Sandy Blvd Gresham OR Get Map!

If you've enjoyed the Zimmerman House during the day, you should see her at night!

A Journey Back In Time
The historic Zimmerman House was built in 1874 and was home to three generations of the Zimmerman Family. Their furnishings and personal articles remain in this two-story Victorian home, including children’s toys, games, Christmas postcards, and winter clothing. This annual evening tour will be held on Tuesday, December 9th and December 16th from 3pm-8pm.

Please reserve the time you’d like to visit the house, and give yourself approximately 45 minutes to explore both floors of this heritage home.

Parking is extremely limited, so please consider carpooling.

Admission is free, but the suggested donation for this special event is $5 per person for ages 18 and older.

150,000 Holiday Light When: Wed Dec 17, 2014 3:30PM-7PM Where: Aspen Meadows Meet at: Gresham City Hall 1333 NW Eastman Pwy Gresham, OR Get Map!

This will be a two-mile walk on level ground from the Cazadero Restaurant parking lot in Estacada up into the business district and back. After our walk we will go back to the restaurant for dinner.

• Round-trip travel: 52 miles
• Difficulty: Easy/moderate
• Suggested donation per hiker: $6

After dinner we will go to the Aspen Meadow Celebration of Lights, seven miles south of Estacada on Highway 211. Every year volunteers put up over 150,000 lights on the various displays, and it’s all free! There is a building where you can get warm and enjoy complimentary refreshments. Dress for the weather and wear warm clothing. Don't miss this holiday event!

A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

		Simple Solution. Big Reward. After big holiday meals, no one likes to be stuck doing the clean-up. But if you aren't careful with leftover gravy, pan drip-pings and sauces a grease-clogged drain could ruin your holiday and cost you a bundle.

When fats, oils and grease are poured down the drain, they stick to the inside of pipes causing messy sewer backups and expensive cleanup and repair.

The simple solution: Pour the grease into a can, freeze it, and toss the can into the trash.
