There used to be a time when the villagers would run in terror at the mere mention of the name Shrek, but these days the big green ogre is married to Princess Fiona and raising triplets. Maintaining your fierce public persona is no simple task when you're juggling infants and changing diapers...
Join Greater Gresham Area Prevention Partnership (ggapp) for their second year of "Cinema Under the Stars!" This year they will be showing a series of free family-friendly movies fun for all ages.
Bring a blanket to sit on and a picnic, or stop by East County's many restaurants or cafes to pick up dinner to-go. Please note that pets, alcohol and smoking are not allowed. Blankets or low-back chairs are recommended. The event may be canceled in the event of inclement weather.

This frantic comedy finds Raymond (Jerry Lewis) working in a department store. Mr. Tuttle (John McGiver) is the watchful owner, whose outspoken wife Phoebe (Agnes Moorehead) makes no secret about her feelings that Raymond is an incompetent boob. Barbara (Jill St. John) is the pretty elevator operator, and unknown to Raymond, the boss' daughter. Quimby (Ray Walston) is the floor manager who has more of an eye for the ladies than his job at the store.
Pictures in the Park presents a free family movie night series on the Arts Plaza in downtown Gresham. Live music on the plaza begins at 7:00 p.m., and movie showtime is at dusk -- approximately 8:00 p.m.

The third entry in Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible film series involves super Impossible Mission Forces (IMF) agent Ethan Hunt (Cruise) being forced back into the field just when he was planning on marrying his girlfriend, Julia (Michelle Monaghan). The agency asks Hunt to save an operative (Keri Russell) he trained after weapons dealer Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman) kidnaps her.
The MHCC Aquatic Center Dive-In movies make a return to the big screen this summer. At sunset, around 7:15 p.m., families and friends are welcome to spend time floating, splashing and swimming in the College’s 50-meter Olympic size pool. Film classics will be played on the electric scoreboard for viewers of all ages.
Prices are $4.50/adults, $3.25/children 18 and younger and seniors. MHCC students, staff and pool members’ admission is free with current ID or punch card. There is no extra charge to see the movie. Don’t forget your flotation toys.

Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays at 6PM and Saturdays at 9AM from May 10th through September 13th. Download your 2012 Ten Toe Express schedule here.

Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.
