Join Friends of Nadaka and the Audubon Society of Portland for our monthly guided Bird Walks at Nadaka Nature Park!
This is a family friendly event open to beginners and advance bird watchers. If you have your own binoculars great! If not we will have some for you to borrow! This is a great event to help you brush up on your birding basics and identification.
Meet us at the picnic structure FRIDAY October 16th at 8am. We look forward to seeing you there!

A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

This three-mile walk is a favorite for people in the Beavercreek area. The bark-chip path circles the Stone Creek Golf Club south of Oregon City and begins near the Pro Shop. Within minutes you are in wetlands that lead to a cool forest accompanied by soothing sounds of running water from Stone Creek. There are some hills as we pass beautiful homes along the way. Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring a snack and water. After the walk we'll have lunch at Bugatti's in Oregon City.

- Difficulty: Moderate
- Elevation gain: 150 feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $6

This 3.8-mile hike will take us through the heavily forested Whipple Creek Park. The trail meanders up an down gullies throughout the park. The grade is mostly gentle, but there are three places where the hills are fairly steep. The remains of an old grist mill are one of the park highlights. Bring a sack lunch to eat on the trail and a snack and water. Hiking boots are recommended.

- Difficulty: Easy/moderate
- Elevation gain: 300 feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $6
