| Wilkes East Neighborhood has received a Metro Nature in Neighborhood grant for improvements in Nadaka Nature Park which requires matching volunteer hours so your support is needed and greatly appreciated. See you at the park! |

Be prepared to get a little dirty and to have fun by supporting and volunteering with Friends of Nadaka and Wilkes East Neighborhood Association in their efforts to restore this natural area by removing invasive underbrush and ivy. We will also be planting 12 new small trees, 65 shrubs and 150 herbs.
| UPDATE (11-11-2009) : Join us, the Concordia University Basketball Team, H.B. Lee Middle School Leadership students, and your fellow neighbors for this special event with the Columbia Slough Watershed Council. Refreshments needed: Persons interested in donating baked goods or refreshments for this event are urged to contact leedayfield@wilkeseastna.org |
Rain or Shine! Come dressed for weather and help improve Nadaka Nature Park. Bring working gloves & a water bottle if you have them. Volunteer as long as you can.
Coffee, juice, water & refreshments provided by Wilkes East Neighborhood.
No pre-registration required. Volunteers younger than 18 will need a signed waiver (available at the event).

Celebrate Parks and Recreation Month and the spirit of volunteerism during Gresham's Big Service Day. Gresham Parks is hosting volunteer projects throughout the city to celebrate and improve Gresham’s parks, trails, community gardens, and natural areas.
Volunteer opportunities include:
Expect paving delays July 10-12 on NE 181st between I-84 and NE Glisan St. Northbound: Take NE 172nd Ave north from E Burnside St to NE Pacific St. Southbound: Turn right at NE San Rafael St, follow west to NE 170th, south to NE Halsey. Doubleback to NE 172nd Ave follow south to NE Pacific St.

Newsletters are a regular publication of the Wilkes East Neighborhood Association. They are hand-delivered to over 1,500 residences and businesses in our area 3 times per year, timed to correspond with our general meetings.
Got a story or tip to share?
Wilkes East residents are encouraged to submit articles and tips for the newsletter. Articles should be limited to 300 words and may be subject to editing. Send by email to chair@wilkeseastna.org. Deadline for submission is three weeks prior to publication.

Proposal to divide property at

The land division proposal to be submitted is located at 2120 NE 162nd Ave. The property is located on the East side of 162nd Ave and North of Halsey St. The legal description of the property is Parcel #1 of Partition Plat No. 1995-151, located within the City of Gresham and Multnomah County, and the Multnomah County tax identification number is R-238920.
The proposal is to divide the property in a fashion that would allow a 2nd buildable lot to be created under the current zoning and planning codes of the City of Gresham.
