Celebrate Earth Day 2010 at Nadaka Park

Wilkes East Neighborhood has received a Metro Nature in Neighborhood grant for improvements in Nadaka Nature Park which requires matching volunteer hours so your support is needed and greatly appreciated. See you at the park!

Directions
From I-84: Take the 181st exit, travel south, turn right on NE Pacific St.
From Glisan (eastbound): Turn left on NE 172nd Av, turn right on NE Pacific St.

Earth Day at Nadaka
Join other volunteers as we clear invasive plants & beautify Nadaka Nature Park, a 10-acre natural area with a dense forest and inviting meadow.

Rain or Shine! Come dressed for weather and help improve Nadaka Nature Park. Bring working gloves & a water bottle if you have them. Volunteer as long as you can.
Coffee, juice, water & refreshments provided by Wilkes East Neighborhood.

A delightful 1874 Victorian farmhouse
Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.

Eastrose Fellowship Unitarian church is holding it's 17th Annual Fundraiser Event "Bringin' It Home - Oklahoma!" on Saturday, April 17th in the Town & Gown Room at Mt Hood Community College, 26000 SE Stark St, Gresham OR. A portion of this years proceeds will benefit SnowCap Community Charities (178th & SE Stark, helping East County citizens since 1967), and Nadaka Nature Park (175th & NE Pacific St).
