Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 07th through September 19th 2015.
Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!

This three-mile walk begins at Marine Park in Vancouver. We will start with a short tour of the adjacent Water Resources Center. Once on the re-opened Tidewater Cove section of the Waterfront Renaissance Trail, look for sunning turtles, eagles, sailboats and kayaks.
- Round-trip travel: 40 miles
- Difficulty: Easy
- Elevation gain: Nominal feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $5
The paved trail weaves in and out from the Columbia River shoreline onto a jetty. From here we will follow the trail to Wintler Park. Wear comfortable walking shoes and pack a lunch to eat on the sandy beach at Wintler Park.

This 4.5-mile hike includes a variety of scenery and interests. We will start at the Eastmoreland Golf Course parking lot and walk up the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, where we will find a maze of short pathways with a spectacular variety of rhododendrons and azaleas, as well as the opportunity to view the many species of waterfowl that are attracted to the Crystal Springs Lake. From the garden, we will cross 28th Avenue and walk the loop trail in Reed Canyon. After exiting Reed Canyon, we will walk through neighborhoods around Reed College, viewing a variety of beautiful homes and manicured properties as we loop back to the golf course parking lot.

- Difficulty: Easy/moderate
- Elevation gain: 145 feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $3
The trails are mostly flat and easy to navigate, but there are some steps in the garden, and we will travel down into and out of Reed Canyon by a series of steps (we will go into and out of the canyon twice for a total of four sets of stairs. After the hike we will have lunch at the Eastmoreland Golf Course restaurant. Bring a snack and water. Good walking shoes or hiking boots are recommended.

Under Cover, Rain or Shine!
Through a partnership with the Oregon Food Bank, the SUN Program at Highland Elementary School provides free fruits and vegetables to the community on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Everyone in the community is invited to shop at the market and receive free produce -- there are no income verification or identification requirements. Bring reusable shopping bags if you have them!

This is a 6.2-mile hike in old-growth forest along Multnomah Creek, which is the headwaters of Multnomah Falls. We will hike around the crater in a forest of Western Hemlock and Douglas Fir. Some of the trees are as old as 400 years.
- Round-trip travel: 50 miles
- Difficulty: Moderate/difficult
- Elevation gain: 1,200 feet
- Suggested donation per hiker: $6
Hiking boots and poles are recommended, and footing may be slippery in places. Bring lunch as we'll stop to eat at the picnic tables at the top before we start our descent back to the cars.
