Let's Go Walking! When: Sat Jun 21, 2014 11AM-12:45PM Where: Meet at Gresham History Museum 410 N Main Av Downtown Gresham Get Map!

Join us for a guided walking tour of Historic Downtown Gresham. The tour leaves the museum at 11 a.m. and weaves around the Historic Downtown area, covering about a mile and lasting around an hour-and-a-half. There is no charge for the tour, but donations are always welcome and very much appreciated (suggested donation is $5). Free parking is available in the lot behind the museum. Tours leave rain or shine, so if it's drizzly, grab an umbrella and come on down.

Let's Go Walking! When: Tue Jun 24, 2014 8:30AM-5PM Where: McIntyre Ridge Trail Meet at: Gresham City Hall 1333 NW Eastman Pwy Gresham, OR Get Map!

About five miles southeast of Sandy, the McIntyre Ridge trail offers spectacular views of meadows of white beargrass, pink rhododendrons and other wild flowers this time of year. This five-mile or less round trip hike also offers a spectacular view of Mt. Hood and the Eagle Creek valley. Hiking boots are recommended. Bring water, snacks and a sack lunch to eat at the viewpoint.

Note: We will scout this hike the week before to see if the beargrass will be in bloom. If it appears that June 24 is too early for the beargrass to be in full bloom, we may delay the McIntyre Ridge hike until July 3 and substitute another hike on June 24.

Please join us for a free workshop focusing on Early Detection Rapid Response (EDRR) of Gresham's most invasive summer weeds. Learn to identify and report new invaders before they become a problem.

Join us on another great Ten Toe Express walk throughout inner-city Portland sponsored by the Portland Bureau of Transportation. The Ten Toe Express program is a series of guided walks held Thursdays @ 6PM and Saturdays @ 9AM from May 10th through September 28th 2013.

Each easy and informal Ten Toe Express walk explores the area neighborhood, architecture and unique history. Walk takes about 2 hours, cover 2-4 miles and are open to all ages and skill levels. Did we mention it's free!

Located in the NE corner of the Gresham Kmart parking lot at Eastman Parkway and NW Burnside Road with plenty of convenient parking. Open every Saturday now through Oct. 25. Accepting SNAP and WIC.
