For many Portlanders, the holidays wouldn't be complete without an evening stroll to admire the lights and scenes along quaint Peacock Lane.

Have a wonderful Holiday Season!
A visit to the usually quiet street has been a Portland tradition since the 1920's. Mostly Tudor-style, each house in this quaint southeast neighborhood has been decorated for Christmas giving the street the charm of an old-fashioned English village.(2)
Over the years the displays have become more elaborate as neighbors go all out for the season. Their homes are adorned and oulined not only with hundreds of colorful, sparkling lights, but with nativity scenes, rotating Christmas trees, life-like replicas of Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman, forests of candy canes, and more.(2)
