Fort Vancouver: Live music, games, a parade, food for purchase. Fireworks are launched from Pearson Airfield at dusk, 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Wednesday. Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, 1001 E. Fifth St., Vancouver; $5 advance, $7 at gate, ages 12 and younger free; fortvan.org/fourth

Pepsi Fourth of July Fireworks: Live entertainment, carnival rides all day. Fireworks at dusk. 10 a.m.-midnight Wednesday. Oaks Park (east end of the Sellwood Bridge), 7805 S.E. Oaks Park Way; gate fee $2-$5; oakspark.com or 503-233-5777

St. Paul Rodeo: Rodeo action followed by fireworks each night. Outside the arena, there's a family carnival with rides and games, art shows and vendors.
