Join Friends of Nadaka to restore a healthy habitat at Nadaka Nature Park Saturday, Sept. 24 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. We will remove invasive species such as English Ivy from the 10-acre forested portion of the park. The event will start with a brief lesson on native and invasive plant species.Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided. Dress to work in natural areas: long pants and closed-toe sturdy shoes. Please bring a water bottle and a friend. Activities include: invasive plant removal, litter cleanup, garden weeding/cleanup. Register to volunteer at this event. Meet at the picnic structure on the NE Glisan Street side of the park.There are two locations for parking:

Take a step back into history at the Zimmerman House, a Victorian era farmhouse, built in 1874 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautiful farmhouse is a perfect reflection of typical Columbia River dairy farm life in the late 1800s. The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a unique cultural education and recreational resource that is being created for the benefit of the public on a 5.98-acre historic site in Gresham, Oregon.
